The Decline of the West: this charming Modern era

Sizzling luxury with a salty taste of blood on the lips.

The time period before the First World War called the «Belle Époque», that is a nostalgic perception of the war-ravaged world, transmitted by those who managed to survive the disaster. An unprecedented breakthrough in science and engineering made life more mobile, connecting entire continents into a single organism, but in the same way multiplied social instability. Fine arts and music were delivered by a host of fantastic colors like in a summer rain. But more and more artists and composers have tried to convey in their works the fear and oppression, before the imminent tragedy, and the insane ornamentation that hypnotized the exhausted society.

Luxury palaces and stinking slums, an incredible transformation of fashion, powerful courtesans, spiritualistic sessions, wild orgies and the destruction of centuries-old foundations of society … we will plunge into the world of “Belle Époque”!
